August Landing After Hours will be presented by museum educator Stephana Landwehr.
Water rushes from the many springs among the high bluffs into Boggs Creek as it flows through eastern Jefferson City to the Missouri River. For ages and ages, a path has run along the creek made into a trail trodden hard by the many animals and people who have lived there. Their lives and stories run as fast and clear as the waters bubbling out of the hills and along the rocks and gravel bars of the creek. Come with us and enjoy these stories and pictures of some early residents of Jefferson City, even before statehood.

Having lived along the Boggs Creek for most of her life, Stephana is well acquainted with the animals and people who also lived along the creek. During time away, she studied history and political science at various universities which enhanced her appreciation of the heritage and contributions made by small local communities such as can be found around Boggs Creek.
This program is free and open to the public; no reservations are required. For more information, please call 573-751-4127.
Convenient parking is located in the lot next to the Lohman Building.
