Parking location near Virsa Restaurant (less busy area of Bond Plaza retail center).
This will be our second visit for a cleanup in this area along drainage easements. There will be plenty for us to do, and we can also tackle Bond Road or EG-Florin Road as needed.
There are several spots where camps have been abandoned or where illegal dumping has occurred north of Bond Road.
There may be other spots that we can hit, but we can assess that together on Sunday.
This will be time well spent, but please pay attention to this post in case weather cancels, or the location changes.
Elk Grove is worth the work!
New to cleanups? Please arrive early to get signed in and get gear. If you have supplies, please bring your own gloves, buckets, bags, but we have items for you. Buckets, gloves, grabbers, vests, bags.
Please wear appropriate clothing, boots 🥾 or closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, hats, and bring your own water. Mud boots are recommended.
All cleanups are done at your own risk, but safety first! Our trash safety talk starts promptly at 9:00 am.
