Lagna - The Musical

Composer-Singer Parth Bharat Thakkar & Lyricist-Columnist Jui Parth’s hilarious Gujarati musical reimagines traditional Lagna Geet to question love, marriage, and the chaos that unfolds when a bride decides to follow her heart.

At the wedding mandap, just as the vows are about to begin, the bride lifts her ghoonghat and walks away. What follows is ‘Lagna – The Musical’, a heartfelt and humorous Gujarati production that turns a runaway bride’s moment into a journey of reflection, love, and laughter. As families unravel and emotions rise, the story explores the space between modern love and age-old expectations, asking whether two people can truly be ready for marriage before they have understood themselves.

 Conceptualised and Produced by Parth Bharat Thakkar and Jui Parth, the show reimagines traditional lagna geet through a contemporary lens, weaving old melodies and new creations into a vibrant musical celebration. Blending song, story, and wit, it captures the rhythm of Indian weddings, where chaos and joy dance together in perfect harmony.

Featuring Vyoma Nandi and Ojas Rawal in leading roles, with soulful performances by Parth Bharat Thakkar and Jahnvi Shrimankar, ‘Lagna – The Musical’ brings generations together through familiar tunes, heartfelt emotions, and an atmosphere of joyous participation inviting audiences to sing along, smile, and rediscover the meaning of love
