Ladyship is a six-piece indie art rock band from Delhi, making music for times that seem like a surreal A24 film. Recorded and mixed entirely DIY, our debut EP Drinking For The First Time carries a raw indie spirit - an imperfect harmony of analog gear and digital plug-ins that makes each song feel like time folding in on itself. It’s the past echoing through the present, captured in recordings that are both familiar and new. We take cues from artists who rewote the rules of rock and pop like Radiohead, Peter Cat Recording Co., The Velvet Underground, and Lana Del Ray. Our music seeks to challenge the norm, to be something you can neither pin down nor resitst.
