Roles Available:
Lord Windermere-(25-35) Wealthy, caring and a well thought of man of English society, husband of Lady Windermere. Becomes the target of infidelity rumors.
Lord Darlington- (30-50) Wealthy man from English society who is deeply in love with Lady Windermere and tries to convince her to leave her "cheating" husband and marry him.
Lord Augustus Lorton- (40-60) Wealthy older gentleman and the brother of the Duchess of Berwick. A gullible, loveable simpleton that is in love with Mrs. Erlynne and willing to do anything she asks of him.
Mr. Dumby- (35-60) Wealthy, opinionated, from high society like most of the rest, he has more money than smarts.
Mr. Cecil Graham– (25-45) Wealthy, gossipy, intellectual & a witty sense of humor. Perhaps secretly “light in the loafers”.
Mr. Hopper- (30-50) Australian of high society, a man’s man. Bit of an outsider amongst the English aristocrats. He is in love with the Duchess of Berwick's daughter, Lady Agatha Carlisle.
Parker- (25-45) is the butler for Windermere's and has a secret of his own.
Rosalie (20-35) is the family maid. She secretly has aspirations to be a classical dancer. She also may double as Lady Plymdale.
Lady Windermere- (18-28) 21-year-old wife of Lord Windermere, mother of their young child. She is young, inexperienced in societal matters, naive and madly in love with her husband. She is not from a wealthy background.
Mrs. Erlynne- (35-50) A woman with a reputation for having numerous affairs with married men. She seems after money and a place in society. Rumored to be Lord Windermere’s mistress.
The Duchess of Berwick- (40-60) Noblewoman who is a talkative, pushy, busy body who wants her daughter to marry a good (rich) husband.
Lady Agatha Carlisle- (18-28) The Duchess of Berwick's daughter, subservient but very sly and in love with Mr. Hopper. She would marry a frog if that will get her away from her mother.
Lady Plymdale- (20-35) A woman from London's high society, and knows it, who conducts herself with great sophistication. Can double as Rosalie the Maid.
Lady Jedburgh- (40-60) Another woman from London's high society with a witty sense of humor, highly educated and yet very down to earth. She plays the game well. Loveable but no one’s fool.

What to Prepare:
Actors will do cold readings from the script. Auditioners will also be asked to do some simple dance steps (waltz), with the exception of the character Rosalie, the maid. She will do several dance (ballet, interpretive, modern) solos throughout the show. Auditioners for this role should bring in a one-minute ballet/modern/freestyle performance set to any classical music. Also, auditioners are encouraged to use RP English/British accents during their audition, as that will be required for the production. One Character, Mr. Hopper, has an Australian accent.
VIDEO AUDITIONS - PLEASE NOTE: We prefer to see all auditions in person. Requests for video submissions will only be considered if we are unable to source sufficient talent from those auditioning in person. If you wish to audition by video only, there is no need to complete this form. Please email us at [email protected] and we'll put you on our backup list.
Alternate audition dates: We regret we are not able to schedule an alternate audition date for you.
What to expect on your audition date:
We expect a LARGE turnout for auditions, and space is LIMITED. We regret we cannot admit any guests, companions, or observers.
Auditions begin at 7 p.m. and doors will open at 6:45 p.m. IMPORTANT information is covered at the beginning of each session, therefore it is imperative that you are prepared to begin on time. No auditioners will be admitted after 7:05 p.m.
----------------------------
You MAY apply to audition AND apply for offstage opportunities (in the event you are not cast), though some offstage positions may be filled prior to the audition dates. If you apply to audition AND to volunteer offstage, we will assume your first preference is to perform.
