Lady Lord Macbeth tells the story of the two main characters in Shakespeare’s play, using only their words. Grappling with the loss of their child, they make a last, desperate grab at power, and each other. Distilled to just their story, this newly-devised one-act scrutinizes the relationship of the Macbeths we thought we knew.

Conviction in conceit.
Denial of defeat.
Resurrection over retreat.
In ‘Lady Lord Macbeth’ the audience sits at bed and board with the entwined couple as their power, ambition, and raw ache rage within and without on their journey to the throne. These two warrior lovers swallow their grief, seeking sovereign revenge as their recompense against fate.
By distilling this play to its barest sinew— two partners alone in their war against loss of soul and legacy—we get to experience the crush, joy, and release of the total submission and entanglement of love.
