The Ladies Lunch gathering for the month of June will be honoring the Shin Buddhist tradition of Obon with a traditional Japanese lunch of Somen Salad (sort of a Japanese version of a cold pasta salad) and dessert. Obon is an annual celebration of gratitude that marks the recognition of all the causes and conditions that make our present lives possible. There will be a short informational talk and a celebration of gratitude in the Memorial Garden that will help mark the celebration. If you would like to join us bring any type vegetables in bite sized pieces or a dessert and help us celebrate this beautiful tradition!
