This is a 16-hour LADIES ONLY course (four evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 9 p.m.on Monday and Thursday evenings for two consecutive weeks) that fulfills the Illinois State Police requirement to apply for your concealed carry license (CCL). On Day Four, there is a shooting qualification portion that will take place at the Diamond Indoor Trap and Pistol Range in Diamond. The shooting qualification requirement is 10 rounds at 5 yards, 10 rounds at 7 yards, 10 rounds at 10 yards on a B27 silhouette target, with a 70% accuracy. (21 out of 30). Because there is a shooting qualification requirement, there is a reasonable expectation that you are fairly proficient with a handgun prior to taking a concealed carry course. If you do not have experience shooting handguns, we would highly recommend our Basic Handgun Course and/or booking a private lesson prior to registering for this class. You must be able to pass the shooting qualification on the first try or you will have to take the entire course again. Upon completion, the student will receive the certificate required to apply for your CCL. The course fee includes your B27 target and range fees, but not the ammo needed or the fees required by the ISP to submit your application. Once you have registered and paid for the course, you will receive an email confirming your registration from the USCCA.ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE VALID FOID CARD OR HAVE ALREADY MADE APPLICATION FOR YOUR FOID AND BE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE YOUR FOID IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CLASS. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN TO STUDENTS WHO DO NOT CURRENTLY HAVE A VALID FOID OR HAVE ALREADY MADE APPLICATION AND ARE ELIGIBLE.
