Welcome to the 17th Annual Ladies Auxiliary, a remarkable event that not only honors the women who support our rugby endeavors but also showcases our distinctive style of play known as "Champagne Rugby."
This gathering celebrates the unwavering support of our wives, girlfriends, and female figures in our lives, who graciously allow us to pursue our passion for rugby on Saturdays. This year we will be focusing more on the ladies today to thank them for all that they do and put up with!
The festivities commence at the picturesque Sunnybrook where our teams display their exceptional skill and finesse on the pitch against a TBD opponent. As the games unfold, our unique brand of rugby, aptly referred to as "Champagne Rugby," captivates both players and spectators alike. With precision passes, daring offloads, and breathtaking displays of agility, we showcase a style of play that embodies flair, creativity, and pure joy.
While we immerse ourselves in the exhilarating sport, our beloved women adorn themselves in elegant sundresses, exuding grace and beauty. They cheer us on from the sidelines, toasting our every achievement with glasses of champagne or rosé, symbolizing the sophistication and refined nature of our rugby prowess.
As the sun sets, the festivities continue with an evening of class and debauchery at the Walrus' patio located at Bay and Wellington sponsored by the Free House Collective Group. With our catered appetizers and buffet, we regale our female companions with tales of our champagne rugby triumphs and relish in the shared moments of camaraderie and celebration.The night progresses as we descend upon our local watering hole, Belfast Love, where the ambiance pulsates with the energy of our victories. Here, we bask in the glory of our "Champagne Rugby" style, reveling in the company of our loved ones and dear friends, all while creating cherished memories that will be recounted for years to come.
