This free concert organised by The Friends of the Whitworth in conjunction with the Royal Northern College of Music is given by the Lachesis String Trio. Their varied programme includes music by contemporary composer Dobrinks Tabakova (Dobrinka Tabakova is a composer of rich, expressive music, whose distinct soundworld has been called “riveting, piercingly beautiful and frequently radiant”), by Ysaӱe, and an arrangement of traditional folk tunes.
