Labubootlegs: Soft Sculpture Workshop w/Reniel Del RosarioSaturday, April 11, 2026 • 12:00–1:30 PM • In Person • $30/$15
Come make your own soft sculptures with artist Reniel Del Rosario. Inspired by work on view in the Vault exhibition The Store of Sturtevant’s The Store of Claes Oldenburg, you’ll make your own foodie-inspired soft sculpture of a hamburger, pie slice, or ice cream cone. Those experienced in sewing are free to explore new ideas. All materials are included in your ticket cost and no prior experience needed. Everyone will be given enough materials to make one soft sculpture keychain; AMOCA will provide assistance with sewing and assemblage. Our staff will be there to guide you through this sewing extravaganza!
Sharp objects (including scissors and needles) and sewing machines will be used in this workshop.
This event is geared toward adults 16 and over; youth may attend if accompanied by a paying adult.
Pre-registration is required; space is limited.
Registration includes admission to the museum Saturday, April 11, so you might want to plan to arrive early or stay late to explore the museum. AMOCA is open from 11 AM -4 PM on Saturdays.
