(Za sve cirkuske discipline)
8. i 9. travanj 2025. od 17:00 do 19:30
CirkoBalkana cirkuski šator u dvorištu Pogona Jedinstvo, Trnjanska struga 34
Radionicu vode umjetnice No Magic kolektiva – Philine Dahlmann, Julie Bergez i Elise Reine – s ciljem istraživanja umjetničke suštine svakog sudionika, s dozom delikatnosti i humora. Nastojat ćemo potaknuti intenzivna stanja postojanja, udaljena od ega i koncepta sebstva – ne kao mistično iskustvo, već kako bismo došli do sirovog materijala i blistave scenske prisutnosti.
Uz pomoć kazališnih vježbi i scenskih alata, istražit ćemo kako preoblikovati cirkuske tehnike u službi izvedbe.

O umjetnicama:
PHILINE DAHLMANN ( D )
Suosnivačica je cirkuske kompanije My!Laika (2009.) i 2014. godine započinje turneje u vlastitom cirkuskom šatoru Side Kunst-Cirque.
ELISE BJERKELUND REINE (NOR)
Njezina praksa obuhvaća eksperimentalni i politički cirkus s ciljem rušenja normi i izazivanja emocija kroz scenski rizik.

Circus Arts Laboratory: No! Workshop
( For all circus disciplines)
When: April 8th and 9th from 17:00 to 19:30
Where: CirkoBalkana circus tent in the yard of Pogon Jedinstvo, Trnjanska Struga 34
The workshop led by No Magic artists Philine Dahlmann, Julie Bergez, and Elise Reine will focus on delving into the artistic essence of each participant with delicacy, and humour.
We will attempt to provoke heightened states of being, far from the self concept and ego. Not as a mystical experience but in order to reach the raw material and a glowing presence.
With the help of theatre and stage presence exercises, we will share some tools to distort each artist’s circus technique to serve the scene.
We hope you will go home with a fresh perspective of the endless possibilities of the circus performance.
Come as you are, as you were, as you want to be.
Participation fee: 50 €
Sign up via the form: https://forms.gle/pN4beke351MKegzr9

About the Artists:
PHILINE DAHLMANN (DE)
Philine grows up between Freiburg and Hamburg. She studied circus in Barcelona, Kiev and Toulouse and developed her taste for art and absurdities. She plays piano and violoncello and pretends to do so with other instruments in different self-invented bands nobody listens to (Tulpe/Hamburg, Animalo/Pisa, for example). In 2009, she created her own circus company My!Laika with Elske van Gelder (Cirque Pardi!) and Salvatore Frasca (cia Bengala). In 2014, they decided to tour their shows in a circus tent called the Side Kunst-Cirque. She creates shows and music with My! Laika and is gaining experience in directing shows and festivals. Lately, she likes to share some of her knowledge, especially about her prioritised technique of “outrageous dismantlement of all acquired artistic methodology” in improvised workshops held with random acquaintances.
JULIE BERGEZ (USA/FR)
Julie started her formation in the circus arts, specialized in partner contortion and rhythmic gymnastics, at the age of 6 at the San Francisco Circus Center. Years later, after touring with Cirque du Soleil, she moved to Europe where she began her journey as a creator in the experimental circus and performance scene. Along the way she has been formed in dance and theatre at the Michael Chekhov School in Brussels. She is currently based in Toulouse, and works with companies My! Laika and Cirque Pardi. She also teaches artistic and technical research in contortion at Esacto’Lido.
ELISE BJERKELUND REINE ( NOR)
Elise Bjerkelund Reine is a circus performer and performance creator based in Copenhagen. She works with experimental and political circus to push boundaries and norms, aiming to evoke and provoke emotions through taking performative risks. She is educated in Denmark (AFUK) and France (CNAC). After 23 years in the trapeze, and as a contortionist in every conceivable position, she uses her equilibrist circus language to explore topics often aimed at an adult audience. In addition to creating her own works and participating in performances, she is the founder and artistic director of Feral Festival. Raw as chicken, glowing as salmonella.
The Circus Arts Laboratory is part of Cirkorama’s program and is co-financed by the City Office for Culture and Civil Society of the City of Zagreb.
