Labgnostic Scotland User Group 2023

Welcome back to our Scottish Labgnostic (formerly NPEx) users.

The event will be centred around you, our customers. Few groups have felt the impact of the pandemic in the UK more than NHS labs and, as we all start to rear our heads from the pressure of COVID-19, we are ready to take a look back at the progress, challenges, and changes of the last three years while looking towards the future for labs and the Labgnostic service.

Through an all-day conference-style event, we will offer workshops, feedback sessions, presentations, and case studies that give you the opportunity to contribute, learn, network, and hold us accountable across a number of sessions.

We’ll touch on advances we are making in Complex Reporting, Genomics, and other ongoing schemes of work. We’ll also use the opportunity to update you on the lessons learnt so far as we continue to support the English Pathology Networks through their LIMs consolidation projects, with a view to working closely with you as you start your LIMS consolidation journey.

We will cover many of the changes of the last few years; offer you opportunities to meet our new team members and some familiar faces; learn about ongoing schemes of work; review how we are improving the technology behind the service; partake in discovery workshops; and discover how we are growing the product from a business perspective.

A lot has changed since we last met and a few years of ambitious growth for the service, alongside COVID-19, has provided us with plenty of learnings and opportunities for improvement in how to deliver and maintain the Labgnostic service and we hope this event will form a key part of that ethos and add value for you.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.

The Studio is located in the heart of Glasgow and is easily accessible by public transport or car.

• From Glasgow Central: Take the Waterloo/Hope Street entrance, turn left, immediately cross over Hope street opposite Waterloo Street and continue down Hope Street, The Studio is just on your right.
• From Queen Street: Exit the station, turn right and follow West George Street till Nelson Mandela Place, turn left onto Buchanan Street, cross St Vincent Place and continue down to Gordon Street. Turn right on Gordon Street, crossing Mitchell Street and Union Street. Turn left at the end onto Hope street – cross over Hope street opposite Waterloo Street and continue down Hope Street, The Studio is just on your right.
• From NCP Mitchell Street: Exit the car park, turn left onto Mitchell Street then left onto Gordon Street. Cross Union Street then turn left at the end onto Hope street – cross over Hope street opposite Waterloo Street and continue down Hope Street, The Studio is just on your right.
• From NCP Oswald Street: Exit the car park and turn right onto Oswald Street, cross Argyle Street and follow Hope Street for 200 yards, The Studio is on your left
