Good afternoon, friends, family, and Black Mountain Community!We will be celebrating this Saturday 4p-Midnight! We are hosting a fair-well barbecue so we can all get together and celebrate the 2-year run at La Tapa. We have an exciting Shag Dance Party scheduled 6p-9p. Steve Weams - The Caribbean Cowboys Band will be playing upbeat, and fun beach music as we dance into the sunset. Karaoke will follow 9-12a. We are planning for a summer cookout vibe. I hope those of you who are free will join us one last time!
I wanted to take a moment to share some news with you all.
La Tapa had their last day yesterday (Monday 6/24)
Closing the doors was a decision that I did not make lightly, and there are many personal reasons that factored into my decision. I do not feel like I failed (I chose to close), and I am okay. So, do not worry about me. I know most of you will want to console me and support me. That's why you all are so amazing, but I am good.
I will forever remain grateful to the community that helped me build an amazing business and share in creating a dream that I've had for many years. I've had many amazing folks work for me, with me, and beside me through the journey of La Tapa. Not all of the times were easy, but I have cherished every last moment. I've learned a lot about business, and I've been amazed with how many folks continued to support me along the way. It means more than you'll ever know!
