About this Event
Join Obra Collective for La Rueda de Emociones, a hands on printmaking workshop designed to welcome Spanish speakers, and learners, and anyone excited to explore creativity in a culturally rich space. Participants will learn the fundamentals of printmaking using a custom 3D printed plate inspired by la rueda de emociones — a Spanish language emotions wheel.
In this class you’ll learn:
- an intro to printmaking
- how to mix and apply ink, color, and layered media
- techniques to personalize your emotions based print
- ways art and language help support emotional expression
This event is geared towards:
- Spanish speakers & learners, and bilingual families
- beginners in printmaking or mixed media
- anyone seeking a creative, community centered experience
No experience required — all materials provided. Ages 16+.
Obra Collective is a Interdisciplinary Latinx arts group based in Charlotte, North Carolina. We offer educational programs and highlight Latinx and immigrant artists through classes, workshops, exhibitions, artist studios, and artist support.
