La Piola est un groupe de folklore argentin basé à Montréal.
L’ensemble se consacre à faire revivre les sons du Río de la Plata et de la région littorale, en offrant une interprétation authentique et actuelle de ce répertoire.
Fondé par Ivan Tolj, le groupe s’appuie sur une instrumentation riche composée de voix, flûte, basse, bombo legüero, cajón et guitare, qui met en valeur la diversité des couleurs du folklore argentin.
À travers des rythmes tels que la milonga, la zamba, le candombe, la chacarera ou le rasguido doble, La Piola transporte le public dans un univers vibrant, enraciné dans la tradition et ouvert à la création.
