Join us in celebrating 49 years since La Peña opened its doors! Tickets at bit.ly/49anniversary Featuring Orquesta La Moderna Tradición, this anniversary concert will not only honor the long history of La Peña’s mission serving BIPOC and immigrant/refugee communities, but will also celebrate its commitment to preserve and promote the roots art traditions from these communities’ home lands.
Orquesta La Moderna Tradición, in this sense, is the perfect band to lead the celebration, as they have been one of the most faithful and authentic culture bearers of Traditional and Popular Cuban Music from the 1940’s-1960’s —and they had their very first gig at La Peña 28 years ago!
