Synopsis
Reina, a teenage victim of human trafficking, escapes in search of her family. Juan, a former public official fleeing justice and a personal tragedy, decides to help her. Their journey leads them into La Pampa, a lawless territory of the Peruvian Amazon devastated by illegal gold mining, crime and exploitation.
As their paths become intertwined, La Pampa reveals a powerful story of survival, dignity and the search for freedom in a world where vulnerable lives are too often made invisible.
Directed by Dorian Fernández-Moris and starring Fernando Bacilio, Luz Pinedo and Mayella Lloclla, La Pampa is a co-production between Peru, Spain and Chile. The film received the Audience Jury Award for Best Foreign Film and the Special Jury Award for Art Direction at the 50th Gramado Film Festival in Brazil.
