La Nostra Biennale

La Nostra Biennale is an exhibition by Pan American Art Projects that celebrates twenty-five years of Latin American and Caribbean artists participating in the Venice Biennale. The exhibition coincides with the 2026 Biennale, where longtime gallery artists Édouard Duval-Carrié and Juan Roberto Diago are representing Haiti and Cuba.

The show brings together works by sixteen artists from the gallery’s collection who have participated in the Biennale over the years. Organized in three sections, it highlights both current and historical contributions of artists from the Americas. The first focuses on contemporary presentations by Diago and Duval-Carrié at the 2026 Biennale. The second honors major figures such as René Portocarrero, León Ferrari, Luis González Palma, and Ronald Morán, whose works were previously shown in Venice. The final section explores a newer generation of Cuban artists, including Eduardo Ponjuán, Mabel Poblet, Reynier Leyva Novo, Roberto Fabelo, José Manuel Fors, René Peña, Abel Barroso, José Ángel Toirac, and Kcho.

Rather than a historical survey, the exhibition positions itself as a living document that demonstrates the lasting and central role of artists from the Americas in the history of the Venice Biennale.
