UPDATE: EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED! Dates are NOT confirmed (official date TBA).Hello all,
We are officially POSTPONING the Chili Cook-Off. I'm sure this comes as no surprise, but due to the unexpected level of caution with the COVID-19, an official ban has been placed on all gatherings of 250 people or more. This unforeseen restriction on our event due to the potential attendance size forces us to postpone our event until further notice.
We look forward to our event resuming when we reschedule in the summer or late fall. We do not have an exact event date at this time since we do not know when the Coronavirus hysteria will calm, but we promise to update you all when we have a postponed date set!

Join us for this year's La Mesa Village Community Chili Cook-Off! This is a free, family-fun event open to the public. There will be chili, games, and activities including a corn hole tournament, FREE face painting, FREE bounce house, local Vendors, and more!
Prizes will be awarded to the Best Chili cooks by a few representatives from La Mesa restaurants and businesses! We've ask our La Mesa Police Station and Fire Department to join us for the event!

Chili Cook-of Schedule!
11:15am - Chili gets submitted to the judging panel for taste testing.
11:30am - Chili is open to the public for testing and voting, eat up! ?
12:30pm - Chili Cook-off Winners (Judge's Choice) announced!
1:30pm - Chili Cook-off Winners (People's Choice) announced!
Winners in both categories will receive a we deserved trophy!
Questions you might be asking:
"Does it cost to taste the chili?"
- Nope! All tasting is free to the public! We welcome you to come and submit your vote and enjoy the festivities of our community event.
"Will there still be chili to eat after the winners are announced?"
- Yes, but only while supplies last! Most of the chili will be eaten within the first 2 hours due to voting, but chili will be available until there is none left. With that said, make sure you get there early enough so you can vote for your favorite chili!
"What is happening after 1:30pm?"
- LOTS of things! We will be having on going corn hole competitions (free enter by the way!) up until 3pm! Not to mention the vendor shopping, free face painting, and free bounce houses for your kiddos to get ALL their energy out before their naps! ??

Corn Hole Competition Schedule
Did you know that we'll be hosting a FREE Corn Hole Tournament? AND you may enter in more than one division, provided you qualify for that division! All signups close 5 min prior to each competition. Standard corn hole rules apply unless otherwise noted. (Time or points to reach may be altered due to younger age or quantity of teams registered for a particular division.)
Competition Divisions:
11:30am - Parent and me (Kids 12 & under)
12:15pm - Jr.-Sr High
1:00pm - College
1:45pm - Couples (no age restrictions)
2:30pm - Seniors ages 55+
PRIZES will be awarded to the winners of each team for every division!
