La Lyra

The New Year for the Alberta Baroque Ensemble begins on February 2, 2025, with Telemann’s orchestral suite La Lyra. The title of this suite refers to the hurdy-gurdy movement in this work. Compositions by Veracini and Marcello will also be performed and the Concerto for Violin and Cello featuring Joanna Ciapka - violin and Ronda Metszies - cello will complete the concert.
