*EVENTO GRATUITO* *FREE EVENT*¡La ciudad de Elgin te invita a celebra el Día de la Independencia de México y el inicio del Mes de la Herencia Hispana en Festival Park y el centro de Elgin el 13 y 14 de septiembre! Prepárate para celebrar las Fiestas Patrias llena de música, baile y delicias culturales.
EL VIERNES 13 DE SEPTIEMBRE, el evento se expande para incluir presentaciones culturales y El Grito en Civic Center Plaza (125 Grove Ct) de 6-8 PM, una reunión de autos en el estacionamiento sur del City Hall de 5-8 PM y un mercado de vendedores Hispanos al lado de Riverside Drive de 3-7 PM. De 5-6 PM, el Mariachi Alma de Mexico estará tocando en el mercado de vendedores. Luego, de 6-6:30 PM, el mariachi dará inicio a las presentaciones culturales en Civic Center Plaza.
EL SÁBADO 14 DE SEPTIEMBRE, las festividades continúan con una gran caravana de autos que comienza a las 12 PM. desde 901 Center St, seguida por el gran concierto en Festival Park, que comienza a las 5 PM y termina a las 11 PM.
Prepárate para bailar toda la noche con Banda Peñasco de Zacatecas, seguida de los éxitos de Los Sementales de Nuevo León, La Potencia de la Música Norteña, DJ Eddy P y culminando con la espectacular Banda La Sinaloense.
Sumérgete en el rico tapiz de la cultura mexicana con elementos y actividades interactivas, incluyendo una figura de tamaño real del Ángel de la Independencia, letrero MX, una escultura de Papel Picado, Callejones, piñatas y mucho más.
Ninguna fiesta estaría completa sin deliciosa comida y bebida, así que asegúrate de deleitarte con auténtica comida mexicana, incluyendo Micheladas para satisfacer tu sed. Se espera un deslumbrante espectáculo de fuegos artificiales para iluminar el cielo nocturno alrededor de las 9:20 p.m.

The City of Elgin invites you to celebrate Mexican Independence Day and the start of Hispanic Heritage Month at Festival Park and downtown Elgin on September 13 and 14! Get ready to celebrate the Patriotic Festivities filled with music, dance, and cultural delights.
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 13TH, the event expands to include cultural performances and El Grito at Civic Center Plaza (125 Grove Ct) from 6-8 PM, a car meet in the south parking lot of City Hall from 5-8 PM, and a Hispanic vendor market along Riverside Drive from 3-7 PM. From 5-6 PM, Mariachi Alma de Mexico will be playing at the vendor market. Then, from 6-6:30 PM, the mariachi will kick off the cultural performances at Civic Center Plaza.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 14TH, the festivities continue with a car caravan starting at 12 PM from 901 Center St, followed by the big concert at Festival Park, which begins at 5 PM and ends at 11 PM.
Get ready to dance the night away with Banda Peñasco de Zacatecas, followed by the hits of Los Sementales de Nuevo León, La Potencia de la Música Norteña, DJ Eddy P, and culminating with the spectacular Banda La Sinaloense.
Immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of Mexican culture with interactive elements and activities, including a life-size figure of the Angel of Independence, MX sign, a Papel Picado sculpture, Callejones, piñatas, and much more.
No party would be complete without delicious food and drink, so make sure to indulge in authentic Mexican cuisine, including Micheladas to quench your thirst. A dazzling fireworks display is expected to light up the night sky around 9:20 p.m.
