“La Cocina” in Las Vegas Theaters starting November 8

When money mysteriously vanishes from the cash register suspicion quickly falls on Pedro (Raúl Briones) an undocumented cook with dreams of a better life. His relationship with Julia (Rooney Mara) an American waitress battling her own inner conflicts takes a turn when a shocking revelation forces Pedro toward a decision that could bring down the entire restaurant. Blending sharp comedy and poignant drama “La Cocina” captures the invisible lives of the people who keep America’s kitchens running all while exploring the personal and systemic struggles of those in pursuit of the elusive American Dream.
