Hva svensken som omtalte MoE som en slags siste viking egentlig mente, får man nesten finne ut selv. Det er uansett hevet over enhver tvil at MoE aldri har fulgt strømmen. I snart 20 år har de reist land og strand rundt og fortalt sin helt egen historie om rock.
De har blitt sammenlignet med både «kjerringa mot strømmen» og «syvende far i huset». MoE utviser en nærmest urnorsk stahet og yter motstand i alle ledd – mer motstandsdyktige enn «Gutta på skauen» og Anne Enger Lahnstein til sammen.
Musikken er en sammensmeltning av performativ kunstrock, blues og eksperimentelle komposisjoner. Melodiske vokalelementer, slidegitar og støy skaper et uttrykk som åpner mange dører. MoE har alltid hatt et ønske om å holde både dører og grenser åpne.

La Casa Fantom er en bass-/tromme-duo fra skogen utenfor Oslo. De spiller eksperimentell støyrock med høy intensitet – i hvert fall hvis du spør dem selv.
Etter 26 år, et firesifret antall konserter, utallige turneer og en drøss plateutgivelser har de definitivt seilt pønkeruta.
De har til og med bygget sine egne forsterkere og høyttalere, og lyden er deretter: tjukk, mørk og kompromissløs. Her er det lite fokus på finesser og detaljrike lydlandskap – i stedet får du tunge riff fra den dype skogen.

What the Swede meant when he described MoE as some kind of last Viking is something you’ll have to figure out for yourself. One thing is certain, though: MoE has never followed the crowd. For nearly 20 years, they’ve crisscrossed the country, telling their own unique story of rock music.
They’ve been compared to both the Norwegian expression “the old woman rowing against the current” and “the seventh father of the house”—symbols of stubbornness and endurance. MoE embodies a distinctly Norwegian brand of obstinacy, resisting at every turn. More resilient than the Norwegian resistance fighters and Anne Enger Lahnstein combined.
Their music is a fusion of performative art rock, blues, and experimental composition. Melodic vocal passages, slide guitar, and elements of noise create a sound that opens countless doors. MoE’s ambition has always been to keep every door –and every boundary – wide open.

After 26 years, well over a thousand concerts, countless tours, and a long list of record releases, they’ve more than earned their punk credentials.
They’ve even built their own amplifiers and speaker cabinets, and the result is a thick, crushing sound. They’re not interested in finesse or meticulously crafted sonic landscapes. Instead, it’s dark, heavy riffing straight from the depths of the forest.
