La Cama is a photographic series made in Mexico City by photographer Pia Riverola and stylist and creative director Chino Castilla.
About this Event

Drawing on nineteenth-century painting, cinema and Mexican architecture, the series pairs a theatrical scale and painterly tradition with intimacy between real couples and friends. Across the series, the bed functions as a private stage for play with desire and identity, one in which the subjects, alone or together, are permitted to be exposed. It is this combination that gives the series its charge: scenes that hold fantasy and reality in the same frame.
