LA, We're Finally Here ❤️
For the last few years, we've watched thousands of strangers walk into BODA socials and witnessed countless meet-cutes in coffee shops, book shops, bars and beyond. Friends have become flatmates. Partners have become fiancés. Fiancés have become husbands and wives. And yes, there are now actual BODA babies running around in the world.
Not bad for a bunch of people who were supposedly "bored of dating apps." Now, we're bringing the magic to Los Angeles. Join us for our LA launch party at Desert 5 Spot, where we'll be taking over the rooftop for an evening of sunsets, cocktails, conversation, and all the possibility that comes with putting 150+ single people in one room, because sometimes the best meet-cute is simply showing up.
What To Expect:
- Everyone Is Single. No awkward wondering. No "I'm actually here with my partner." No third-wheeling. Just a rooftop full of single people who have all made the same brave little decision to get off their phones and meet people in real life.
A Little Dutch Courage:
On arrival, you'll have the option to take one of our famous Dutch Courage shots (completely optional) before jumping into a signature BODA mindful icebreaker. They're designed to make starting conversations feel a little easier, a little less forced, and a lot more human.
BODA boundaries:
Our events aren't about speed dating, they're about creating the kind of environment where meaningful connections can happen naturally, analogue and without any sort of digital platform telling you who you're supposed to be attracted to. The kind where you end up talking to someone for hours, where a stranger becomes a fast friend and you actually leave with a story.
We're an anti-ghosting community, so we ask no ghosting after the event
Talk to people beyond your “type.” Dating apps have trained us to filter too quickly, BODA is about unlearning that, so we dare you to break the swipe mindset and date outside your algorithm. Attraction isn’t a checklist, it’s something you discover, not predict
Be present, not performative. Phones kept in bags and no treating people like profiles, everyone here is real, not content.
The Need-To-Know Bits:
6:30pm – 9:00pm exclusive rooftop access for BODA guests (afterwards, you're welcome to stay at Desert 5 Spot after the event and keep the night going)
Everyone is welcome - whatever your sexuality or gender - as long as you're 21+.
Because of the nature of this event, tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable, except where a ticket holder finds a replacement matching the gender on the ticket
By purchasing a ticket, you consent to photos and videos being captured during the event for BODA's social media channels
Magic happens when you decide to leave the house.
