Kylie will be supported by Callum Pitt
Callum Pitt is an independent alternative folk-rock artist and occupational therapist from Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK. His music draws on his experiences working across mental health, additional needs, and acute hospital wards, framed by the outstanding natural beauty, coastlines & industrial heritage of North East England, and punctuated by the inflammatory UK political landscape and the climate emergency. Callum’s organic, harmony-soaked, orchestral recordings blend their folk roots with his love for post-punk, soul, emo, grunge & chamber pop.
Callum has been relentlessly honing his craft for over a decade, beginning as a teenager singing in Newcastle pubs and gradually refining his thoughtful, poetic songwriting voice to releasing his debut album ‘In the Balance’ in 2023. As an independent artist, his tireless work ethic has seen him amass over 6 million streams, feature on more than 150 editorial playlists, land on Spotify’s ‘New Music Friday’ 17 times & feature on ‘Law & Order’. He has received extensive airplay on BBC Radio 1 & 6Music, including support from Radcliffe & Maconie, Tom Robinson, Steve Lamacq, Phil Taggart & Gemma Bradley. Callum has appeared at festivals such as The Great Escape, Deer Shed, Wild Paths and The Long Road, supported Donovan Woods, Adia Victoria, Jordan Mackampa and Tenille Townes, and was invited to a live session & performance with the legendary Bob Harris. He has been recognised with the Alan Hull Award for songwriting & the Fender Player Plus Award.
Callum’s debut album ‘In the Balance’ was released digitally and on vinyl in 2023 via Republic of Music. The record received support from Radcliffe & Maconie and Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music, was named ‘Album of the Week’ and A-listed on Amazing Radio, and featured in Clash, Dork and Under the Radar
