It’s Kylie Fox’s birthday! Canadian folk-songstress Kylie Fox brings her acclaimed album Sequoia (2024) to the stage this Spring for the ‘There Are Only So Many Great Nights’ Tour. She is making a special stop at The Cap in Fredericton to celebrate the new album and her birthday, all in one! Joined with her five-piece band, she will share the stories behind songs like "Confetti' and 'Brandi Baby', that delve into themes of gratitude towards the women in her life, the environment, her relationships and herself. The show is a dynamic homage to the record, exhibiting whimsical flute solos, three part harmony, quiet acoustic moments, and a captivating voice that's an invitation into Kylie's world. Katie Schurman is a singer-songwriter currently based in Fredericton, NB. In 2022, weeks after her 19th birthday, Katie broke into the Fredericton music scene with an undeniable passion, unrelenting self-expression and a beautiful way with words. Though Katie may be far from her hometown, her musical and familial roots are ever present in her writing. She pulls inspiration from 90’s Pop, Classic Rock, and Americana storytelling. Recent career highlights include a showcase at Fest Forward (2024), a performance at Perish Fest (2024), and a Snowdome performance at Shivering Songs (2025).
