Kyle Battige, Colorado Parks & Wildlife Senior Aquatic Biologist (NE Region), will talk about Greenback Cutthroat Trout Recovery.The Greenback Cutthroat Trout is a species of cutthroat that once inhabited high alpine streams throughout the South Platte Basin. The cutthroat trout in Bear Creek are the only remaining greenback cutthroat that share the genetically pure fingerprint with specimens collected in the late 1800s from across the South Platte Basin.
