Kvass Workshop

As part of ‘soft listings’ Phillip McCrilly will lead an introduction to the process of Kvass. Kvass is a fermented cereal-based beverage originating from northeastern Europe. Taking shape as a collaborative workshop, participants will learn how to make Kvass and take away their own Kvass-in-progress to ferment at home.

Please note, due to the nature of the ferment the workshop is not recommended for anyone with a gluten intolerance. Also please note that the drink may contain approximately 1% alcohol due to the fermentation process. Equipment will be provided and participants are encouraged to bring along an apron and or/workshop friendly clothing.
