Join KUOW’s Katie Campbell in conversation with acclaimed author Sonora Jha to discuss her latest novel, Intemperance — a sweeping and intimate story inspired by an ancient Indian ritual and the complexities of aging, love, and self-possession in a modern world.
Jha is the author of four books, including The Laughter, winner of the 2024 Washington State Book Award for Fiction and named one of the Best Books of 2023 by The New Yorker, NPR, and others. Her previous works include the memoir How to Raise a Feminist Son and her debut novel Foreign. A former journalist in India and Singapore, Jha is now a professor at Seattle University and lives in Seattle.
