Culture House Laikku Music Hall, Keskustori 4Assisted dying is a divisive subject, which we explore through the personal meanings constructed for it in documentary films. The speakers will be documentary film director Tuki Jencquel and Outi Hakola, Docent of film and cultural studies (University of Eastern Finland). The film Jackie the Wolf (2023) by Tuki Jencquel will also be screened as part of the Mortal Culture event.
Avustettu kuolema on mielipiteitä jakava aihepiiri. Syvennymme näihin kysymyksiin sen kautta, millaisia henkilökohtaisia merkityksiä aihepiirille on rakennettu dokumenttielokuvissa. Puhujina toimivat dokumenttielokuvaohjaaja Tuki Jencquel ja elokuva- ja kulttuurintutkimuksen dosentti Outi Hakola. Luennon yhteydessä esitetään myös Tuki Jencquelin elokuva Jackie The Wolf (2023).
