London-based comedian Kuan-wen (Taiwan-born and -bred; as seen/heard on Comedy Central, BBC and Amazon Audible) is taking his new stand up comedy show back to his hometown Taipei for one night only, following his sold-out first show at Two Three Comedy Club in 2023. Kuan-wen has a message for the world: all men called Andrews are C*NTS. Seriously, like E.V.E.R.Y S.I.N.G.L.E one of them (think Prince Andrew and Andrew Tate) - not least the two pieces of human garbage he once dated.
Those two did him so dirty that Kuan-wen had to write a show about them.
Described as “...one of the sharpest Asian comedians working today” for his latest show (One4Review), Kuan-wen was the joint winner for Brian’s Life Award at Prague Fringe and was nominated for the Best Show at Leicester Comedy Festival in the UK in 2023. For his first comedy show Ilha Formosa, Kuan-wen completed a sold-out run at Soho Theatre in London, followed by a European tour in 2024. For his brand of international comedy, He was invited to perform at the Kilkenny’s Cat’s Laugh Comedy Festival in Ireland, Lund Comedy Festival in Sweden and Sziget Festival in Hungary. (You might have also seen him appearing in Taiwanese news giving a short speech and sitting next to Taiwan’s ex-president Madame Tsai Ing-wen during her visit to the United Kingdom earlier this year)
