Krewe de Canailles is Lafayette’s largest walking parade—silly, special & FUN! We kick off Mardi Gras 2 Fridays before Fat Tuesday.
About this Event

Hey look Lafayette, we’re in double digits now! Feels like just yesterday we were a newborn baby parade with a few floats, eight cops, some glitter, and a dream – but we’re all grown up now and celebrating our 10th birthday! (And yes, we will accept cake, thanks for asking.)

But just because we’re grown doesn’t mean we’re going to start behaving… cross our heart with an X, we promise to always keep it real, keep it canailles, and keep it real canailles.

WE’RE eXtra eXcited ABOUT THIS YEAR’S THEME… UH… IT’S X! (Get it? It's the Roman numeral for 10. Wow, we're like really smart now.)

Grab your ex-girlfriend and head to Downtown Lafayette where X marks the spot on Fri, Jan 29th, 2027. We’re expecting an XL extravaganza – think high-octane X games, Gen X grunge, X-ray vision (heyooo!), and X-men superheroes! As the late great artist DMX famously said, “X GON’ GIVE IT TO YA!”

PRICING LEVELS:

• X (6/3 - 9/30): $60
• ** (10/1 - 1/15): $80

MEMBERSHIP INCLUDES:

• A spot to walk in the KDC 2027 parade!
• Free entry and food at the after-party!
• Year-long access to events and activities throughout the year!

MEMBERSHIP RULES:

• Must be 21+ to participate
• You do not need a krewe to march — solo/independent marchers are always welcome!
• Sub-krewes must be made up of a minimum of eight (8) costumed members.
• Sub-krewes can have a maximum of 40 members.All registration fees are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to other members. If you are unable to attend the parade, your registration fee will be considered a donation to Krewe de Canailles.

You'll be invited to KDC membership meetings and creative workshops...we will keep you in the loop on all things Canailles. Your support will go directly to the operating costs of the parade you look forward to each year.
