Izza Gara operates at the intersection of club music, alternative R&B/pop, and electronic music. With a background in dance and strong ties to Stockholm’s alternative scene, she crafts live sets that oscillate between euphoria and minimalism, where raw club energy meets a more vulnerable expression. This year, she was awarded SKAP’s Composer of the Year prize and has been highlighted by Dazed as part of Sweden’s post-pop underground.
Cora /ˈkɔːrə/ • noun [Greek Kore]: Persephone; she who brings spring forth from the depths of the underworld. [Latin Cor]: The heart; the innermost, essential part of a whole.
Cora Onori dances above the pain in an alchemy of dreamlike landscapes, the human condition, and radical identity from the inside out. We experience the passage through her inner world in the form of songs that oscillate between electronica, alternative hip-hop, and dark R&B. Raised on the sharp edges of punk and refined through the knowledge of sound alchemy, Cora has developed a unique artistic cosmology.
Whether Cora shares the stage with Cakes Da Killa or dons her self-designed costumes, she is a relentless reminder that when the world becomes loud and cruel, the most revolutionary act is to sing from the heart.
