About this Event
THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION is a new six-part, twelve-hour series from filmmaker Ken Burns. It tells the story of America’s founding struggle, the men and women of the Revolutionary generation, and the crisis that they lived through.
Join KPBS for a special preview screening featuring excerpts from the film followed by a panel discussion led by KPBS’ Public Matters Investigative Reporter Amita Sharma with local educators and experts in America’s history. There will be opportunities for audience members to engage in the conversation, ask questions, and share insights.
This event is free. Space is limited and reservations are required.
About the series
THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION, a new six-part, 12-hour documentary series that explores the country’s founding struggle and its eight-year War for Independence, premieres nationwide on Sunday, November 16 and airs for six consecutive nights through Friday, November 21 at 8:00-10:00 p.m. on KPBS.
