Mauricio plays kena, sikus, mohzeños and charango while using his voice as an accompanying instrument, often with an ever-evolving pedalboard. He constantly reinvents his musical language, creating both acoustic and electronic effects that become the embryonic blocks of his musical language.
Velasierra transforms his instruments with a pedal brain that allows him to play many characters that alternate seamlessly between the sacred and the raucous.
Dudu Kouate, Born into a family of griots, the Kouatè—singers entrusted with preserving and passing down the traditions and stories of their people—Dudù embraces the role assigned to him by tradition and breathes new life into it through a modern, multicultural lens. His music is shaped by a symphony of instruments, a polyphony that creates magical and evocative atmospheres: from the Berber lute (xalam) to the kanjira, traditional African wind instruments, water gourds, and talking drums, which symbolically transport the listener to an unexplored and captivating dimension.
Through his experimental perspective, we catch a modern glimpse of Dakar's suburbs, natural landscapes, the savanna, the desert, villages, and stories of humanity.
Yuhze Song, an eclectic musician and from the North East of China.Composer and founder of the celebrated Dawanggang orchestra, Yuhze travelled across China studying traditional styles, and set out to mix opera structures with folk songs. He plays medieval cittern, mandolin, zither and more, and makes use of horse-hair fiddle, saxophone and samples of Buddhist chanting, in a theatrical set that veers between noise and chant.
His music reaches far and broad, from nomadic themes of Western China to broad experimental lines, touching on folk tales and giving a big sense of space.
