Le célèbre club de jazz d'Istanbul, Bova, met les voiles vers Paris !Rejoignez-nous les 11 et 12 octobre 2024 pour découvrir la programmation qui fait vibrer la scène jazz et musique contemporaine d'Istanbul, cette fois-ci au bord du bassin de la Villette, sur la Péniche Anako !
Quatre performances pour un état des lieux de la scène turc le temps d’une croisière musical variée, mêlant jazz moderne, improvisations, sons ethniques d'Anatolie et rythmes avant-gardistes :
Ercüment Orkut 🎹
Pianiste raffiné et mélodique originaire d’Istanbul, sa musique combine virtuosité technique et sensibilité moderne. Entre l'Europe et la Turquie, il partage l’affiche et joue en compagnie d’artistes comme Dee Dee Bridgewater, China Moses, et Sezen Aksu.
En 2009, il est choisi pour représenter la Turquie au « Nomme Jazz International Youth Competition » et y remporte le 2ème prix ainsi que celui du public. Il devient par la suite un compositeur reconnu pour des films et séries TV et sort deux albums solo, Low Profile et Persona, ainsi que deux albums avec son groupe Töz.
Çağıl Kaya 🎤
Çağıl Kaya commence sa carrière au sein de l’orchestre TRT Izmir. Habitués des festivals comme le Festival de Jazz d'Istanbul et le Bodrum Jazz Festival, elle se distingue par ses projets aux formes multiples : Çağıl Kaya & Moda String Trio où elle revisite des morceaux avec un ensemble de cordes, Kaygılar Sahnesi, projet qui fusionne danse contemporaine et musique jazz et enfin sa formation solo, centré sur la performance vocale. Çağıl Kaya s'impose aujourd’hui comme l'une des voix les plus captivantes et avant-gardistes du jazz en Turquie.
Tamer Temel 🎷
Saxophoniste ténor/soprano à la prestance mélancolique, Tamer Temel est un sideman reconnu de la scène jazz Turc. Conjuguant maîtrise technique et sens de l’improvisation, il interprétera ses compositions originales issues de ses 3 derniers albums Barcelona, Bir Kedi Kara et Serbest Düşüş.
Deniz Mahir Kartal 💃🕺
Multi-instrumentiste maniant aussi bien le duduk que le kaval, le ney ou encore le çağlama, Deniz Mahir Kartal se distingue par sa capacité à tisser des sonorités transcendante mêlant musique folklorique turque, technique jazz, gestes expérimentales, et musique du monde. Performance hypnotique et dansante en perspective

Join us on October 11 and 12, 2024, to discover the artists who’s driving Istanbul's jazz and contemporary music scene, this time on the banks of the Bassin de la Villette, at Peniche Anako!
Four performances to have a look on Turkish music scene during a musical cruise, blending modern jazz, improvisation, ethnic Anatolian sounds and avant-garde rhythms:
Ercüment Orkut 🎹
A refined, melodic pianist from Istanbul, Ercüment Orkut's music combines technical virtuosity with modern sensibility. Between Europe and Turkey, he shares the stage and plays in the company of artists such as Dee Dee Bridgewater, China Moses and Sezen Aksu.
In 2009, he was chosen to represent Turkey at the Nomme Jazz International Youth Competition, winning 2nd prize and the Audience Award. He went on to become a well-known composer for films and TV series, and released two solo albums, Low Profile and Persona, as well as two albums with his band Töz.
Çağıl Kaya 🎤
Çağıl Kaya began his career with the TRT Izmir orchestra. A regular at festivals such as the Istanbul Jazz Festival and the Bodrum Jazz Festival, she stands out for her multi-faceted projects: Çağıl Kaya & Moda String Trio, where she revisits classic pieces for strings; Kaygılar Sahnesi, a project that fuses contemporary dance and jazz music; and finally her solo formation, focused on vocal performance. Today, Çağıl Kaya has established herself as one of the most captivating and avant-garde voices in Turkish jazz scene.
Tamer Temel 🎷
A tenor/soprano saxophonist with a melancholic presence, Tamer Temel is a well-known sideman on the Turkish jazz scene. Combining technical mastery with a flair for improvisation, he will be performing original compositions from his last 3 albums Barcelona, Bir Kedi Kara and Serbest Düşüş.
Deniz Mahir Kartal 💃🕺
A multi-instrumentalist wielding the duduk, kaval, ney and çağlama, Deniz Mahir Kartal stands out for his ability to weave transcendent sounds blending Turkish folk music, jazz technique, experimental gestures, and world music. A hypnotic and danceable performance !
