Konstantin Lifschitz has established a worldwide reputation for performing extraordinary feats of endurance with honesty and persuasive beauty. His performance was praised as โthe most magical momentโ and โdeeply satisfyingโ by The Independent, and โnaturally expressive and grippingโ by the New York Times.
Born in Kharkov, Ukraine in 1976, at the age of five, Konstantin Lifschitz was enrolled in the Gnessin Special School of Music in Moscow as a student of Tatiana Zelikman. In the early 1990s, with a grant from the Russian Cultural Foundation, Konstantin Lifschitz started to play recitals in European capitals, and toured with The Moscow Virtuosi and St Petersburg Symphony Orchestra and performed Shostakovich Piano Trio with Mischa Maisky and Gidon Kremer. In 1995 he received the ECHO Klassik Award and in 1996 he was nominated for a Grammy awardfor Bachโs Goldberg Variations.

In 2020 to celebrate the composerโs 250 years jubilee Lifschitz released CD and Vinyl Box of Beethovenโs Complete 32 Piano Sonatas with Alpha Classics (Live recordings). His most recent CD release, dedicated to Bach and Peter Seabourneโs toccatas, came out in 2022, and digitally, his latest Bach recording accompanies and illustrates his Bach Wanderbook (Book of Hours, Days, and Seasons with J.S. Bach).
