Ruth from Edinburgh Fermentarium will be hosting this workshop to teach you how to make seasonal Kombucha recipes for yourself at home.
Kombucha is a naturally effervescent fermented drink made from sweetened tea and a specific culture known as a S.C.O.B.Y.
S.C.O.B.Y. stands for 'symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast.
Learn all about the magic of it it in this fun workshop with lots of tastings of Kombucha and other fermented foods and drinks.
The link between healthy bacteria in the digestive system and immune function is becoming clearer as more studies focus on gut health. If the probiotics in kombucha improve gut health, they may also strengthen the immune system
You'll get your own S.C.O.B.Y. in a 1 Litre jar to take home and care for.
What's included in the ticket?
All ingredients and jars are provided. You will get a 1L jar of tea with your own S.C.O.B.Y to ferment Kombucha at home.
Covid safety for workshops
We have reduced the amount of participants at our workshops to allow for adequate social distancing and we request all guests leave their contact details when they arrive for Track and Trace purposes.
You will be required to wear a mask during the workshop, except during tastings.
Cancellations?
You can cancel your ticket for any reason with a full refund, 7 days in advance, althouguh unfortunately we are unable to refund the Eventbrite fee. . We reserve the right to cancel the event, with a full refund, due to any unforeseen circumstances.

What to bring
Everything is provided. Ruth will also have her selection of products available to buy, so please bring along some extra cash so you can enjoy fermented foods while waiting for your own to be ready.
Please bring along your own aprons for the class.
