Brew Your Own Kombucha at Perth City Farm Sick of spending a small fortune on fancy bottles of kombucha from the shops? Come and learn how to brew your own at Perth City Farm with our CEO and long term ferment nerd, Megan MacNeill.
In this hands on workshop you will:
-Learn how kombucha works, from SCOBY and starter tea to fizz and flavour
-Taste a range of different brews and flavour combinations
-Make your own batch to take home and finish fermenting
-Learn how to safely bottle, flavour and store your kombucha
-Get practical tips to fit brewing into a busy week and avoid common mistakes
You will take home:
-A healthy SCOBY and starter tea
-Your own batch of kombucha-in-progress
-A clear step by step guide with recipes, flavour ideas and troubleshooting tips
Megan has been brewing kombucha at home for over a decade. She’s had every disaster you can imagine along the way, so she knows exactly how to help you skip the usual kombucha pitfalls and get great results. Through a lot of trial and error she has worked out a simple, reliable method that fits into real life, not a Pinterest fantasy. She drinks kombucha daily, not just for the gut health perks but because it is genuinely delicious, and she cannot wait to get you started on your own brewing journey.
This workshop is perfect for complete beginners as well as anyone who has tried brewing before and given up after a few questionable experiments. Come spend a couple of hours at Perth City Farm, taste some brews, ask all your questions and leave confident to keep it going at home.
