Blending literary experimentation with an intimate vocal presence, the work finds a natural home in audio. The evening offers an introduction to the creative vision behind the audiobook, alongside an exclusive first listen to the forthcoming English-language edition, Roll Back the Mountains, translated by Jon Cho-Polizzi and read by the author.

Ralph will be joined in conversation by Theresia Enzensberger to explore the book’s distinctive form, its relationship to voice, and the ways translation reshapes a text for new listeners. Together, they will reflect on what happens when language moves from page to sound, and why some stories deepen when heard aloud.
