Kocen Concert Series Session 2: "Dear Emily"

Experience the second session of our quarterly performance series with "Kocen Concert Series: Dear Emily," an intimate and evocative evening of music and poetry in motion. This special performance features saxophonist and flutist Seth Ebersole, joined by pianist, Chris Ziema.
"Dear Emily" is a suite of original compositions inspired by the works of the beloved American poet Emily Dickinson. Drawing from her vivid natural imagery and signature brevity, Seth transforms Dickinson's words into sound - each piece reflecting his unique interpretation of a different poem. Created with the intention of inspiring joy and leaving a sense of light with every listener, this performance also seeks to bridge the gap between two often separate art forms. Poetry lovers may discover a new appreciation for jazz, while jazz enthusiasts are invited into the depth and beauty of Dickinson's writing. The result is a heartfelt, accessible experience that connects audiences through shared emotion and creativity.
