KOAC Saturday Sculpture Park Tours - Summer 2025

At the Kiyooka Ohe Arts Centre, nature is our gallery.

Your guided tour of the KOAC Sculpture Park will include the large-scale sculptures spread throughout the rolling, open fields, and if time allows - the smaller-scale pieces situated in the private gardens and woods around the founders' home. The tour will last 1 - 1.5 hours and will bring you into the KOAC world with history and anecdotes about each of the 20 pieces in the collection.

The focus of the Sculpture Park’s distinguished collection of Canadian and European modern and contemporary sculpture is large abstract welded steel works and cast concrete or bronze works from the 1960s to the present. The goal is to preserve and showcase important, quality works of art, and to invite the public to experience and celebrate the relationship between sculpture and nature.

WHAT TO BRING:

As the tour is entirely outdoors, please dress appropriately for the weather, including water, sunscreen and bug spray if the weather is hot and sunny, and an umbrella or raincoat if things are not so sunny. You will be walking through tall grasses so please dress appropriately. The tour will take you through open fields and wooded paths so please wear comfortable and appropriate footwear; closed-toed shoes are recommended.

The Kiyooka Ohe Arts Centre is a place for art and artists, for the curious, for the novice and for the expert alike – everyone is welcome to visit, to make, to learn and to talk about contemporary art, whether by traversing our sculpture grounds and gardens, or visiting with our artists in studio during public programs and workshops.

While guided tours of the park are free to the public, donations from those wanting to support our vision enables us to sustain our work with artists, audiences and communities. Help us keep our grounds open as an escape into Art-in-Nature.
