Guided step-by-step, you’ll explore how to select and handle pearls or beads, work with silk cord, master consistent knotting, and attach professional-quality clasps. Along the way, you’ll pick up insider tips for achieving even spacing, fluid movement, and a polished finish.

Perfect for beginners and experienced makers alike, this class offers a calm, meditative rhythm—each knot a small moment of focus and intention. By the end, you’ll leave with a beautifully hand-knotted necklace or bracelet, along with the skills and confidence to continue creating your own elegant, wearable art.

Workshop fee: $75

Included in the workshop fee are the thread/cord, all findings (silver tone), and a string of shell pearls or stone beads. You may bring your own pearls or beads, or there will be an assortment to choose from at prices from $5 to $50. You may also upgrade to sterling silver findings for a small charge. From there you will design and craft your own beautiful bijou.

Fingernail Moon Jewelry Studio is in FAVO - Faith Arts Village Orlando - a vintage 1950s era motel that has been converted into artist studios. Just off Colonial Drive/Highway 50 near I-4, we are conveniently located at the north end of downtown Orlando. Using the addres 718 Highland Ave. you will arrive at the outer parking lot. To enter the facility, turn north on Highland from Colonial, there is a stoplight, and enter the second driveway on the left, through a black fence. You will see a sign that says "Park Lake Presbyterian Church, FAVO Art Studios". Proceed through the parking lot to the far right and rear and on through the driveway connecting to a second parking lot. You will see an L-shaped building with colorful doors - that's us! I am studio 237, second from the end upstairs on the right. Look for the moons!
