Knitting II: Ear Warmer Headband

Put your knit and purl skills to work while creating a stretchy headband designed to keep your ears warm and stay comfortably in place all winter long.
Class will begin with a Knit-2, Purl-2 alternating rib to give the headband its stretch. Along the way, participants will practice reading a simple pattern, using stitch markers, and creating short rows for shaping. To finish, you’ll sew on a button and leave with a cozy handmade accessory ready for cooler weather.
Class Note: Participants must have previously completed Intro to Knitting at 577 or have equivalent knitting experience. Participants are welcome to bring a notepad and pen for taking notes. All other supplies are provided.

Community Instructor: Annie Johnson
Annie grew up in an Arts & Crafts household, learning to crochet at 7 and knit at 14. She has honed most of her knowledge through trial and error, observation, and decades of repetition. She has been teaching for over 10 years and loves to share the joy of fiber crafts with anyone interested, from preschool to retired. Her favorite parts of teaching are witnessing a student's ah-ha moment and seeing them explore the hobby in their own way.
