About this Event
Do you want to learn to knit but are not sure where to start? Did you learn a while ago but don’t remember how? Sign up for Knitting 101 with Liam and RPSCollective!
You will learn the basics such as casting on, knitting, purling, and casting off. All tools and materials are provided but you are welcome to bring your own favorite yarn if you have some.
This class is open to all adults who wish to learn the foundations of knitting. Space is limited so sign up now!
Instructor bio: Liam Chavez (he/him) is an experienced knitter who first learned the craft when he was 10 years old. Some of his favorite project types include sweaters, socks, and stuffed animals. He is known by his fiber arts friends for his creative pattern alterations and intricate knitting style. Liam also has a background in education and finds joy in teaching new skills to those who come from underserved backgrounds. Knitting and fiber arts have been a source of creativity, community, and comfort for much of his life and he is excited to bring this skill to the wider community!
Masking recommended but not required.
