Learn the basics of knitting and discover a relaxing hobby you'll enjoy for a lifetime! Students will learn how to hold the knitting needles and learn about yarn and how to care for different yarn. This class progresses you through all the knitting basics such as, casting on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, binding off, and combinations of both stitches. Step-by-step, you will learn to build skills to learn how to confidently knit any beginner-level pattern. Class projects may include easy dishcloth samples, a scarf, wrist warmers, or a coffee cup cozy. Projects will be using basic stitch patterns, and simple color changes.
