Once you have your basic knit and purl stitches down, let’s try some exciting new patterns – like how to knit in the round! In this beginner pattern class, you’ll learn how to cast on and knit in the round with circular needles to create a warm, simple beanie hat.If we don’t finish your hat in class, we will go over how to finish the top. You may also bring it to a Sip & Stitch for more hands-on guidance.
Mandatory: MUST have taken an Intro to Knitting class at 577 to participate.
Please Note:
• Participants ages 7 to 15 are welcome but must be accompanied by a registered adult/guardian.
• Participants ages 16 to 17 may participate without an adult.

Community Instructor: Annie Johnson
Annie grew up in an arts & crafts household, learning to crochet at 7 and knit at 14. She has honed most of her knowledge through trial and error, observation, and decades of repetition. She has been teaching for over 10 years and loves to share the joy of fiber crafts with anyone interested, from preschool to retired. Her favorite parts of teaching are witnessing a student's ah-ha moment and seeing them explore the hobby in their own way.
