We thought it would be fitting to celebrate by having a “Knights at the Slovak” event!!
This is just a casual meeting of chess players for fun battles on the board and socialising.
All players are welcome, just come out and have fun at the Slovak Legion on Saturday September 12th from 4:30-9:30.
The Slovak advises that under 19years are allowed as long as their kitchen is open (until 9:00pm).
We will have some chess sets there, but players are encouraged to “BYOB” (bring your own board😂) so no one has to wait to play.
This event is only 4 days after our first AGM (annual general meeting) on September 8th, so it would be great to have a good turnout and share your ideas for the club.
You don’t have to be a club member to attend, just come to play chess!
